How to download ChatGPT and OpenAI API invoices

For ChatGPT Plus or Pro: Settings, Account, then Manage under Payment, and download from Invoice history. For the API: platform.openai.com, Settings, Billing, Billing history.

Step by step

1. ChatGPT Plus or Pro: on chatgpt.com open your profile, choose Settings, then Account, and press Manage under Payment. This opens the billing portal.
2. In the billing portal, find Invoice history and open the month you need. Download the invoice PDF from there.
3. ChatGPT Business (Team): a workspace owner opens the workspace settings and Billing, where past invoices are listed.
4. OpenAI API: on platform.openai.com open Settings, then Billing, then Billing history. Each line opens an invoice page with a download button.

Things that trip people up

• The API and ChatGPT are billed separately, even under the same email. A company that uses both has two sets of invoices to collect.
• If Invoice history is empty, check that you are signed in to the account or workspace that pays.
• A subscription started in the iPhone or Android app is billed by Apple or Google, so the receipt is in that store's purchase history instead.
